World Rivers Day

This coming Sunday is the Seventh Annual  World Rivers Day. We, at JourneyWorks, will mark it Friday Evening, as part of or Equinox gathering and ceremony, and Sunday as part of our first Storytelling Circle of the season.

Other folks around the world will be remembering our connection and debts to these waterways in their own ways. The River Whisperer provides a partial list of activities. The Environmental Society of Canada is sponsoring a photography contest. Mike Smith created a great poster. For the latest World Rivers Day news please visit the World Rivers Day website.

We people are mostly water. Rivers of blood flow through us. We are echoes of the world.

If you live nearby, please join us for this weekend at the JourneyWorks office at 11 Kilburn Street in Burlington, VT. The Equinox Gathering i Friday at 6:30. The Storytelling Circle is Sunday from 3:00-4:30. For additional information see our Calendar.

If you are unable to join us, find out what others near you are doing for the day. Perhaps you might participate. If not, please spend a few moments with a river you love.
