Little Sleep at the Sheraton

Sunday we drove down to Framingham, MA,  for my yearly pilgrimage to the Post-Polio Clinic at Spaulding Rehab. Sunday night we stay at the nearby Sheraton Hotel. At midnight and at 4 a.m., the smoke alarms went off and we evacuated the building. Each time I had to walk down three stories worth of stairs! (Stairs are not the Polio’s friend.) Then at 8 a.m. we,  having forgot to put out the “Do Not Disturb ” sign, awoke when housekeeping knocked on our door. Somehow, we managed to get through the day yesterday, and to drive home safely.
